this is serious gaming, folks
check out this email i got from _____ today. it's about the starcraft clan fireswarm. first, i suppose, you need some background iformation about fs to get this. now get this.
ok. fireswarm is a starcraft clan (like i said before). but not just any starcraft clan. this clan is pretty tight knit, extremely organised, and its members have a lot of loyalty to the clan. they have a web team. they have scheduled tournaments (that actually are quite succussful in getting members to compete in). they have clan awards and medals that the members take very seriously. this is a model clan.
except for just one thing. they are known throughout the starcraft community as the most arrogant clan around. this is why it's such fun to poke fun at them. they are just so overzealous about their ego, and the game starcraft. it's funny, because we can beat them almost every time we play. and yet, they always find something they can be proud of about fireswarm. ah well. i have no idea what i'm getting at. just that it's fun to make fun of them. so without further ado, The Email.
Hello all my friends(family) in FireSwarm,
As some of you may know already; Parasocks and I are taking a roadtrip south across the border to the beautiful and vast United States. Our loosely planned route will take us criss-cross through the States of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma and then to Texas where we will be staying a few weeks (maybe more) with Supr and Edagon. We will probably dip down South into Mexico for a couple of days during that time.
We also have a standing invitation to spend a day or two with Oka in Georgia and also spend some time with Storm (and his boat) in Florida and on the ocean.
We are not exactly sure how long we are taking for this trip and/or when we will start heading home. However, when we do decide to come back to Toronto (if we do) we will come up along the East Coast. Some States we will pass through will be North/South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Jersey, Pennsylvania, Conneticut, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.
After that, North across the Canadian border through Quebec and then back down to Toronto.
We are making this trip for the following reasons...
1. Much needed Vacation.
2. We want to see all the US has to offer.
3. We want to meet as many FS members as possible.
4. I am entertaining the idea of moving to the US.This is where YOU guys as members come in. Since I have been a professional slacker for over a year ;-) Brad and I are going to be travelling on a very tight budget. This is what we were thinking. If any of you guys are serious about meeting up with Brad and I as we pass through and you live in those states that I have listed above, that would be extremely cool. All we ask is the following...
1. If necessary, approve with your parents.
2. Offer us a nights stay and a home cooked meal ;-) All that driving makes us hungry and tired. We may not have time to stay the night but it's always nice to be offered. Some sandwhiches for the road would be nice too ;-)
3. Committ to being our tour guide for a day and really show us all the cool places that your city has to offer. Don't worry about transportation. We'll have my car remember.I will bring extra FireSwarm T-Shirts for those who didn't get one or we will give them away to the newer members whose names aren't listed on the shirts.
We really would love to meet up with as many FS people as possible. This road trip is for you as much as it is for us. If we are going to pass through your neck of the woods and you want to get together with us for a day/night please post here and/or email me soon. Our departure date is exactly one week from today. We are leaving on Monday July 26th at 6:00 am EST.
Looking forward to all your responses.

haha. damn. i forgot to mention the t-shirts. they had custom t-shirts made for every member. and each member gets one free. now this is one hell of a clan leader. driving across america to meet his clannies in person. wow! dream vacation there. get to meet all the geeks who eat sleep breathe starcraft 24/7. hehe. man that's lame.
one last note. _____ didn't get his t-shirt yet, and he feels very ripped off about it. heh
