Conkle comes from the English name "Conklin" which, in turn comes from the Dutch name "Konkelen", the Dutch word for "Schemer". Thus, "Conkle" means "Evil Schemer."

This site used to be called Planet Conkle. I changed the name for several reasons. For one, the name "Planet-" anything is really old and overdone. I wanted something new and different. Secondly, due to the move across country to Arlington, VA, I had to change servers. I thought it was about time for a name change too.
